University of Sydney PHD Candidate, Accredited Practising Dietitian
Sydney, Australia
I am an Accredited Practising Dietitian (APD) and PhD Candidate (University of Sydney). My research doctorate is a formal investigation into the use of low-carbohydrate diets in type 1 diabetes management. As part of a broader research team including Dr Kieron Rooney (University of Sydney) and Professor Grant Brinkworth (CSIRO) I will be developing and conducting primary research in this area. In 2017, I performed a systematic literature review investigating all the existing literature on low-carbohydrate diets for type 1 diabetes and it was the first of its kind to be published (PLOS ONE, March 2018).
I have been a speaker at previous Low Carb Down Under Conferences across Australia sharing my research, clinical experiences and personal story. I am also the Founder of Ellipse Health, a team of qualified dietitians working together to provide premium nutrition services . My overall goal is to provide individuals with the knowledge and strategies to regain control of their health and experience food freedom for life.
